Laws Against Child Porn Crimes
In this section the focus will be on laws in various countries, how they can improve and get inspiration from other countries where there is success with laws or campaigns against child porn, incest and pedophiles.
Laws in United Kingdom
ReportChildPorn.Net hopes that pedophile crime will be punished much harder.
Our opinion is that:
- The planning and/or the action of taking photos and/or distribution - they all should carry a minimum imprisonment of 3 years and up to life time imprisonment.
- Participating in sex with minors should carry a minimum of 5 years up to life time imprisonment.
- Sentences of child porn criminals for downloading, viewing or storing child porn should depend on how many photos were viewed, if they were stored and if viewing/downloading happened repeatedly or more than one occasion. Storage or repeated offense should escalate the imprisonment drastically. Distinction should be made between searching for it or getting child porn by accident - this to protect those that get it in spam.
- The pedophiles should serve their time together with other criminals, and not in protected areas.
- There should be a register of convicted pedophiles in all countries.
- Neighbors should be told when a previously convicted pedophile moves to their neighborhood.
- All employers somehow working with children should be allowed to search if an employee or applicant is listed in the records of convicted pedophiles.
